Do you know the history of our cuvée Cœur de Pinots?
The cuvée Coeur de Pinots was born in 2014, derived from the inspiration of Matthias Desruets, the 6th generation of the Desruets legacy. He decided to isolate the oldest plots of Pinot from the family: “Le Noyer de l’Orme du Midi,” “Les Bas Chaillois,” and “Les Maltournés”, planted in 1979, 1967, and 1980, respectively. Recurring every year since its inception, a part of the harvest of these same plots is added to continue the production of this exceptional “Blanc de Noirs” Cuvée. Each plot at the origin of our Cuvée «Coeur de Pinots» is characteristic of this terroir. It enjoys continuous sunshine from morning to evening. This southern exposure allows our grapes to reach perfect maturity at the time of the harvest.
This is why, one of its characteristc is a amber pink hue that we also say «partridge eye».
Small bonus, the dressing of our Cuvée «Coeur de Pinots» is also a nod to the past. It carries the colour code initiated by François Desruets, 5th generation of our house of champagne.
